PERSONAL INTERESTS

Since life isn't only about translating, here are some of the things that mean something to me.

 

• first of all, my (recent) family - I am a father of two extraordinary baby boys 4 years apart who are teaching me more about how to live and see the world than I am teaching them;

 

• technology and computers - I'm an open-source and Linux supporter. I love to discover and learn the ropes of new software, write little batch scripts that save time in repetitive tasks, troubleshoot medium-difficulty software problems... oh, and there are some videogames that every week steal a couple of hours away from me;

• literature - deep down it is my field of study and one of my biggest passions, specially fictional and political literature;

 

• music - I play guitar, organ, flute ... (poorly). I like to be on top of the latest musical trends, but I have a special appreciation for the 80's and 90's' hard rock, metal and punk;

 

• the environment - I've been a die-hard (ovolacto)vegetarian for several years (my soul mate's influence) and I make it a hobby of mine to discuss topics relating to vegetarianism and ecology with friends and all the curious people I meet.
